Leo Yakovlev, the founder, has a story that diverges from the typical corporate narrative. With a background deeply rooted in resource geology and over a decade-long stint in gold mining mergers and acquisitions, Leo's journey took an unexpected turn when confronted with the personal challenge of dry eye.

Having dedicated years to constructing complex 3D geological models and dealing with data arrays, Leo's world was disrupted when the precision he brought to his work collided with the disarray of dry eye symptoms. The ensuing struggle to find effective solutions exposed the gaps in awareness and treatments for this common workplace issue.

Over the past five years, having a solid scientific background Leo explored into extensive research, unraveling the complexities of dry eye and identifying the significant limitations in currently available treatments. This journey led him to a resounding conclusion—prevention and education are paramount in addressing the challenges posed by dry eye.

Fueled by a passion to bridge the gaps in proactive eye care, Leo founded AUGE Wellness. With a clear mission centered on workplace well-being and preventive measures, Leo envisions a future where individuals receive the necessary care before symptoms even surface. Dr. Rana Taji

Meet Dr. Rana Taji, OD, MSc, FAAO, an esteemed figure in the realm of eye health, renowned for her commitment to addressing dry eye disease. Driven by a profound passion for advancing ocular wellness, she has emerged as a leading specialist in Canada.

Dr. Taji's expertise extends beyond clinical practice; she has been a prominent advocate for eye health awareness. Her insights and knowledge have graced the screens of major Canadian media outlets, including CTV, CBC, and CITYNEWS, where she actively contributes to disseminating crucial information on dry eye disease.

In addition to her media presence, Dr. Taji serves as the owner and Medical Director of Toronto Medical Eye Associates in North York, Ontario. This dual role underscores her dedication to providing comprehensive and patient-centric eye care services.

She is a lecturer, offering subject matter expertise on dry eye disease. In addition, she partakes in multiple pharmaceutical projects, and serves as an adjunct faculty clinical supervisor for student doctors from US and Canadian Optometry schools. With multiple conference presentations, participations in publications, and extensive lecturing, Dr. Taji has a keen focus and passion for dry eye disease diagnosis and management.
